Storm and Eels set to Explode
The grapple tackle debate continues to simmer; with the Parramatta Eels today again firing shots at the Melbourne Storm about their ruck slowing grapple techniques. Hooker PJ Marsh, Coach Michael Hagan and Centre Timana Tahu all voiced their concern at possible injuries as a direct result of grapple tackles.
After the Melbourne Storm tried to steady the ship yesterday - calling a mid week press conference to hose down concerns and to try and divert referee attention away from them; the ball was thrown back in their court after the Eels returned serve.
The pressure will squarely be on referee Tony Archer to control tomorrow nights blockbuster; with the Eels and Storm having some previous bad blood over the years as Eels boss Denis Fitzgerald made his thoughts on the Storms future very public.
