PJ Marsh Signs with Broncos

By Adam Sutcliffe

Livewire Eels hooker PJ Marsh has been signed by the Brisbane Broncos for the next three years after Parramatta allowed the classy rake to enter the NRL market.

It certainly is a smart signing by the Broncos; as they try to cover for the loss of Shaun Berrigan to the UK Super League. Since returning from the NZ Warriors, the Eels have used Marsh in an impressive rotational role with Mark Riddell. The two rakes combining well to form one of the most feared rotation duo's in the NRL.

With Mark Riddell moving more and more towards a back row role, the Eels will certainly miss the skills of Marsh - one of the few remaining survivors from the Eels dominating 2001 squad. The experience of local boy Marsh will be sorely missed as the Eels bring the young brigade through.

The link up with the Broncos is well suited to Marsh. The Queensland representative able to get back to his roots and try his hand at making the no.9 spot truly his own north of the border. The struggling Broncos will revel with the likes of Marsh playing general as they start the rebuilding process after losing several stars in the off-season.
